An Excerpt from a Speech Given at a Recent Board of Directors Meeting by Life of Alabama President Clarence W. Daugette, III.

We can rejoice over the thousands of men, women, and children who are policy holders of this great company and for the protection afforded their loved ones. And we can rejoice in the millions of dollars this company has paid to its beneficiaries. And in rejoicing over the success of our efforts, we can take pride that it has not been at the expense of our fellow man, but to his everlasting benefit.
We can rejoice in all these things, but we are humbly grateful as we rededicate ourselves to the building of a great Insurance Company in Alabama and the South!"

Our founder, the late Colonel Clarence W. Daugette, Jr., entered the life insurance business as an agent in 1927.
After serving in World War II, Colonel Daugette re-entered the insurance business and excelled in both field and management positions.
In 1952, the Colonel founded Life Insurance Company of Alabama.
The Colonel passed away in 1988, but his legacy lives on in the Life Insurance Company of Alabama.
